Product Specs/Core hole sizesClamps into concrete. The clamps are 52mm x 50mm which is almost 70mm diagonally. This means that when an 76mm core hole is used a small amount of adjustment is available for the positioning of sheets and to allow in case the core drill 'runs off' slightly. We need 60mm - 80mm penetration into solid concrete plus the paver or tile and bed depth. This is recommended as a minimum. Longer M16 allthreads are available for special situations. Cover plates are available as an option should the client request them.
Side fix into concrete. Side mounting bracket. The 'side mounting bracket' is attached using suitable mechanical or chemical anchors for the situation Side fix extended clamps. Fixings are not supplied as standard. The 'special inserts' used with balcony side fix clamps can also be used if required. Side fix balcony clamps. To attach these we have a 'special insert' that is installed with a suitable chemical anchor system with the clamp attached. The inserts and screws are supplied. The chemical anchor system is not supplied but supplier information is available on request.
Frameless Glass Gate kits. We use the Dorma in-floor gate operators. Our own catch and latch patch fittings are solid 6mm thick 316 stainless steel with holes to the outer side drilled 'blind' so that a very neat clean appearance is maintained. The Magnetic latches are all approved for their intended uses.
Compliance. The testing was carried out on the Frameless Glass Fencing System installed per the manufacturers installation instructions and in accordance with AS 1926.1 Appendix B and appendix C. The forces were applied per AS/NZS 1170.1 :2002. Table 3.3, A, B, E, C3. The Wind pressure test was carried out in excess of 1.5kpa on the above sized sheet. Accordingly when installed in accordance with the manufacturers installation instructions the system complies with the following Australian Standards. AS 1926.1 - Appendix B and C. AS 1288 - Glass in Buildings. AS 1170.2 - Minimum Design Loads on Structures- Wind Loads. In some 'windy' areas it will be necessary to reduce sheet sizes to meet those requirements.
