Pavers or concrete Top Fix ... into concrete slab thru pavers / tiles or onto suitable footing or wall is the easiest method of installation. Our unique anchoring system allows the clamp to be secured in a vast range of situations as well asw dealing easily with out-of-level sites. This method is so easy to install, looks stunning and is very competitively priced.
Decks Timber Deck. A longer clamp is used for decks and is attached to a suitable structure that has been designed or strengthened to support the lever created by the fence. Deck fixing can be between 10% and 50% more expensive mainly due to greater installation costs. Steel deck frame or steel front beam to deck. A steel front member is the best method for providing fixing on decks. The clamps can then be bolted directly to it without the use of brackets (reduces cost). This method also provides greater flexibility with the placement of clamps. Side mounting without a coping. We have two clamps suitable for these situations. 1. The extended side fixing clamp which we also use on decks can be secured in position using suitable anchors. Again installation alignment of each clamp both laterally, vertically and longitudinally is very important. With this system the clamps are attached first then the glass is ordered to suit the 'installed' clamp dimensions as it is with decks. 2. The side fix balcony clamp is shorter and even less obtrusive. It is fixed similar to the above. It gives a very neat result and because it has the same 'grip' area on the glass has the same strength rating. Side mounting with a coping. We can accommodate up to 35mm coping over hang with the use of the 'side mounting bracket. Again this is fixed with suitable anchors. With these brackets there is more lateral adjustment within the bracket but extra care must still be taken as with the other side fixing systems. Extra height panels. To eliminate 'climbing points' it is often necessary to step a panel up to a greater height than normal. In these cases we can use a 'side fix clamp' to steady the panel or if necessary provide a custom made fitting for special situations.
Stair mounting. Concrete stairs. Mounting into concrete steps is similar to standard 'in concrete' installations. A sloping centre block is supplied and in some cases an 'extended stair clamp' is required so that the clamp maintains its correct engagement into the core hole. These are stock items. Both 'side fix' systems can also be used on concrete stairs. Fixing is as per the respective 'side fix' system. Timber stairs. We usually choose the shorter 'balcony side fix' clamp for these installations. These clamps are secured by bolting them through the stringer. Fixing is usually carried out by bolting through the stringer. |
